The Season of Halloween – Disney Style!

I have to tell you all, fall is my absolute FAVORITE time of the year! I just love all the colors of the leaves changing, that nip in the air, and HALLOWEEN!!! Especially Halloween!!! Fall has been really different for us the last two years since moving here to Savannah. When Halloween is here, it’s still hot out. The trees don’t really start changing color until November-ish. It’s pretty peculiar to me, but I’ll get used to it eventually…especially because Disney Parks extends the Halloween season by an extra month or so! See, tonight is the first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, which is undoubtedly my VERY favorite event on the planet!!! This event is not-to-be-missed if you are planning on being at the Walt Disney World between 9/11/2012 and 11/2/2012. There is an extra cost for admission to this very special party and it is worth every penny, in my opinion! Check out the official pricing details along with the Event Guide by clicking here.

I also want to share the brand new party map with you as well so you can possibly print them early and get your planning on [because I know you are all serious planners like me]!!! You’ll notice that there is some very fun NEW entertainment happening this year and check out the early peek of some of the special Party merchandise! The first time I attended this special party, we ran around like crazy trick-or-treating, attending dance parties, and riding tons of rides since the lines were so short. Disney only sells a limited number of party tickets, so the Magic Kingdom isn’t filled to capacity which makes it an extra special treat. Now, my ultimate goal is to hit the party twice in the season so I can be 100% sure that I don’t miss a single thing…because I’m sorta nutty like that when it comes to MNSSHP! You don’t HAVE to do it twice, but I highly reccommend it! I just learned today that there will be more candy this year than EVER BEFORE!!! And if sweets are not your thing, there will be healthy options as well. All you’ll need to do is bring your candy that you’ve collected at the treat locations to City Hall, and they’ll exchange your goodies for candy that fits your dietary needs, such as sugar-free candy, treats without nuts and healthy options too! Pretty awesome, right?

Speaking of planning, I sure do like to surprise my kids, but it’s getting really hard to that the older they get because they have my number now…too many surprises over the years apparently! The great Dream Makers over at Disney Floral & Gifts have made a really special “Spirited” Halloween Surprise with teens in mind that includes a special blacklight flashlight for some “to die for” fun!

The Disney Florist has a whole bunch of absolutely fantastic gift ideas for kids of all ages if you’re inclined to add an extra touch of magic to your fall vacation. I love how thoughtful they are too, for example, the Trick or Treat Pumpkin is collapsable so you can transport it home easily and enjoy for years to come! You’ve just got to LOVE Mickey Ears on a pumpkin! I have seen most of the products offered by Disney Floral & Gifts and they are made of the highest quality and everything is just beautiful. You really have to see it to believe it…check out the article about my special visit to the Disney Events Group by clicking here.

I hope you all have a “Spooktacular” Halloween season and please let me know in the comments below what your favorite part of MNSSHP is if you go!

New Mother’s Day Magic from Disney Floral & Gifts!

I just love that as soon as I think I’ve seen all the magic Disney has to offer, they come up with something new and amazing! I was lucky enough to go on a backstage tour of the Disney Florist just before Halloween last year and I just love all the magical things I saw being created there!

Well, folks, Mother’s Day is no different! There are some great offerings this year for Moms, so whether you’re lucky enough to be at Walt Disney World or at home, there is something for everyone!

The Disney Family Treats Tote is one of my favorites because it includes Minnie’s cooking apron and Mickey’s favorite cookie recipe! How cute is that?

The Cookies from Minnie “bouquet” happens to be my VERY FAVORITE though, because, well, Minnie Mouse is my VERY FAVORITE!!!!

The Dream Makers over at the Disney Florist are just waiting for you to give them a call so they can create a wonderful memory for your “Mom” and there is room for customization too! Something I’ve always thought would be so cool and personal is to have something delivered to your favorite Walt Disney World Resort dining location as a big surprise! Well, you can do that with many of the items available at the Disney Florist, such as the Mother’s Day Fairy Tale pictured below! The Dream Makers suggest having this gift sent to the restaurant and having it placed on your table prior to seating. Once the family has been seated, share warm sentiments about Mom with the family, then crown her a Princess and present her with the royal pin. Sounds amazing, right? Might I suggest having tissues handy if you choose this option?

Be sure to check out the Disney Floral site for more Pixie Dusted items you can have delivered where you live, just in case you happen to not be at Walt Disney World at the moment!

Happy Mother’s Day to all my mom friends out there!

A Special Visit to the Disney Events Group

I was driving down to Walt Disney World when I got a text message from my friend Kristen over at DVC Mom. She had some Pixie Dust sprinkled on her and wanted to share it with me!! An invitation was extended to her for an exclusive private tour of the Disney Events Group, the wonderful place where the Walt Disney World Florist is located! As you can imagine, I was thrilled to be a part of such a fabulous experience!

Well, my friends, when we walked through the doors of the Disney Events Group, the magic started immediately! Jean Volante ~ Manager of Dream Making, was there to great us along with Jeff Hurst, Ken Malquest, and Terrone Carpenter. They had a magnificent floral arrangement in the front lobby of their building that was actually created to match the colors on Kristen’s blog! It was unbelievable…my picture DOES NOT do it justice at all, but you can get an idea of the amazing things the Dream Makers can create!

We were then guided into the Imagination Room where Tinkerbell was hovering above the table to oversee all of the creativity floating around! It was in this room that we learned of the endless possibilities that could be created for guests of all ages. All of a sudden, a gorgeous, Fairy Godmother wearing pink came into the room and entertained us! She was so magical and beautiful! Her name was Ivana Dream! She appointed Kristen and I as Honorary Deputy Fairy Godmothers with our own Blogity Blogity Blog spell! It was so much fun!!

I suddenly felt like a 5-year old who just had my dream come true with a beautiful pink princess who came all the way from her “land” just to see me!!! How did she know that pink is my very favorite color? It was the most magical thing that has happened to me in a long time and I was just completely beside myself! What a special treat! Would you believe that guests can arrange for these special appearances as well? The sky is the limit!

We continued to learn about all of the magic that could be created here. One of my favorite things about the florist was that not only could you have some of these fun things delivered to your Walt Disney World Resort room, but you could have them delivered to on-site dining locations and even some off-site hotels! And don’t we all want to bring a piece of the magic home with us? Here’s one amazing thing about the floral arrangement above. That huge Castle? It’s flat and can be packed in-between clothes in your suitcase!! Yes, Disney thinks of everything!

We spent an hour and a half touring this unbelievable facility where tons of magic is created every day. We saw beautiful creations being assembled from floral arrangements for weddings to eerie designs for a special private party that was taking place at the Haunted Mansion that evening. We even saw most of the In-Room Celebrations that are available, and I’m telling you, they are GORGEOUS! Keep your eye on the Walt Disney World Florist site for upcoming designs that you will flip for!

I’m also excited to tell you about a fun Disney Vacation Club Member Perk I learned about when exploring the DVC Member site: “Learn how to take regular flowers and design a Disney-themed keepsake arrangement during this one-hour class which takes place exclusively at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa Community Hall. Members receive a 10% discount on the $50 retail price. All ages are welcome (with adult supervision for ages 10 and under). Classes are offered on Wednesdays, 2:30 – 3:30 pm. Please call 407-WDW-PLAY to register.† Walk-ins are welcome when space is available.”

We were presented with a couple of fun and special mementos of this wonderful morning. One of my favorites was this fabulous Tinkerbell in a beautiful little cinch bag with shimmering Pixie Dust inside! I have it hanging right here on the edge of my laptop for good luck!
